THE DEMOLITION TEAM MOVE IN May to June 2010, the demolition team moved in to the where the former shop of Quick Save was located. They made quick work of demolishing the building from the inside out over, mostly working from the rear of the building. The metal within the building was taken away, with all the brick and concrete being crushed on site for further use somewhere. The first view taken from the top of Morrison;s Car Park towards the Standard Public House. The second view taken from Lord Street with the two mechanical diggers beginning the process of piling up the stones ready for the crushing machine. It was surprising when taking the photographs how much extra light there was in the whole of the demolished area as can be seen in photograph one |
