YARM COMPUTERShave been our friends here at Redcar Past & Present from this web sites inception, and without who's help we would not have got this far. If you do want a friendly computer shop to look over why not give them a visit. I can assure you advice costs nothing. Remember, buying locally you can always give them a ring Tell them you saw them on Redcar Past and Present
MARSKE AND NEW MARSKE likewise this is another web site that has been with us over the years and is older than ours. Marske at one time was a small village on its own and like other places expanded to such extent that New Marske was built around the fringes of Marske. It is a very good site with many photographs, and lets people know what is going on in their area. Accompanied by a friendly discussion board the site and discussion board are well worth putting on your 'favourite' list.
SALTBURNjust a little further on, moving Southwards from Marske is the Victorian town of Saltburn. Its Victorian history is overflowing. One of the only piers left on the North East coast, and getting to it is so easy by way of the water driven cliff lift, feature in many TV programmes. It is also the land of the smugglers, and the Excise men. Just around Huncliff the view shown, is Boulby Cliff the highest cliff in England. (also part of the Cleveland Way Walk) This web site is growing, and is full of information, photographs, and other features. Pay it a visit.
REDCAR BOROUGH PARK BOWLIING CLUB A friendly outdoor and indoor bowling club. Outside there are a number of rinks which provide excellent bowling on well maintained greens. In the winter this club has the facility of playing indoors, again well looked after rinks. The club also has a reasonably sized club room with a licensed bar, which is open on a evening for its members and guests to enjoy. New bowlers are always welcome.
