WALFORD FAMILY
This talented family of Campanologists and Musical Entertainments have been drawing good audiences at the Central Hall during this week. At their services of Sacred Music on Sunday (04/08) the Hall was on each occasion crowded it excess many being unable to obtain admission. The music on Sunday was entirely Sacred and included such pieces as Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” Sullivan’s “Lost Chord,” Mozart’s Gloria in Excelsis” &c., &c., which were cleverly rendered upon their splendid carrillon of 156 sweetly toned Hand bells. Miss Bessie Walford’s marvellous performance the “Aquadigipsycharmonica” elicited applause.
The Entertainments during the week of a varied and charming character and have been patronized by many of the leading families of Redcar and the neighbourhood. As will be seen on referring to our advertising columns, the Walford Family will prolong their stay at Redcar until next Tuesday.
